"Can't keep me down!" - Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian reveals "wild" Lyme disease diagnosis following "full battery of heath scans"

Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian has revealed that he is suffering from Lyme disease. Ohanian recently went through health scans and checkups which helped him find out his diagnosis.

The American tennis icon was spotted with her husband at the recent ESPYs Awards. Williams hosted the event and gave the audience several moments worth remembering.

Days later, Ohanian revealed on his X account about his diagnosis of Lyme disease. He mentioned that he underwent a full battery of health check-ups and tests and found out his diagnosis which showed no symptoms.

"Doing a full battery of health scans, tests, etc, and found out I have lyme disease. Wild. No symptoms, thankfully, but gonna treat. Good cholesterol is too low. Bad cholesterol is just OK. Gotta work on that. On the plus-side: 822 ng/dL total + 162 ng/dL free testosterone," Ohanian wrote.

Lyme disease is caused by borrelia bacteria mainly carried by the black-legged tick, also called the deer tick.

Further, he mentioned that one of his loved ones had the disease a few years back but they showed symptoms unlike Ohanian. However, the positive update was that the person was treated for it successfully.

"I've got a loved one who had it a few years back, showed tons symptoms etc and just couldn't figure it out until they tested him for it and then found it (treated it successfully, too). I spend so little time in the wilderness/northeast this was quite a surprise," he added.

Ohanian added that he will not be kept down and will consume some antibiotics.

"Anyway, gonna grab some antibiotics — can't keep me down, tick!"

Former President Donald Trump recently faced an assassination attempt during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Multiple shots were fired towards him which injured his ear. There were Secret Service agents on the spot who rushed to shield Trump and escorted him to safety.

Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian took to X to condemn the attack.

"Still can't believe what I saw. Thankfully, we didn't have another US President/Presidential-Candidate assassination, but this was too close. I'm so sorry for the victims + their families — there's no justification for political violence," Ohanian wrote on X.

The 78-year-old Trump, however, remained resilient in the face of adversity as he pumped his fist in the air and the crowd roared in his approval.
