Canadian Open 2024 Schedule Today: TV schedule, start time, order of play, live stream details & more | Day 4
Day 4 of the Canadian Open will see the start of the third-round matches, along with the completion of a few second-round bouts. The weather played spoilsport in Montreal on Thursday, where the men are competing. A few matches thus got postponed to Friday, and some players will now have to play twice on the same day.
While the evening session got canned due to heavy rains, half of the matches were completed by then, and it was a day of upsets. Daniil Medvedev, Tommy Paul, Ben Shelton, and Stefanos Tsitsipas were all sent packing. World No. 1 Jannik Sinner made a winning start to his title defense.
Casper Ruud, Alexander Zverev, and Holger Rune were among the other victors of the day along with the Italians. All four will take to the court on Friday for their third-round duels.
Over in Toronto, Coco Gauff, Aryna Sabalenka, Jelena Ostapenko, Victoria Azarenka, and Jessica Pegula are some of the well-known names in the fray on Friday.
