Carlos Alcaraz left his heartbreaking 2024 Paris Masters loss behind as he attended a basketball match between Real Madrid Baloncesto and UCam Murcia CB in Spain on Sunday, November 3.
Alcaraz's campaign in Paris commenced with a straight sets win, 7-5, 6-1, over Nicolas Jarry. The victory ended the Spaniard's two-year winless drought at the Masters 1000 event. However, his run was cut short after falling to Ugo Humbert 1-6, 6-3, 5-7 in the third round. Despite improving his performance compared to last year, the result against Humbert was a shock defeat.
Alcaraz, however, is not still lamenting over the heartbreaking result. The Spaniard, known for springing back after upsets, was spotted cheerful watching the Liga Endesa match between Real Madrid and UCam Murcia.
Taking to social media, Alcaraz posted a picture of the action unfolding from courtside.
Real Madrid registered a comprehensive win, 85-64, over Murcia despite lacking some key players on the squad. It marked the club's fourth win of the season as they are now placed third in the table. Meanwhile, Murcia holds the 12th spot with three wins so far.
Real Madrid Baloncesto is a division of the Real Madrid CF multi-sports club. Alcaraz, who is an ardent fan of the famous Madrid soccer club, must have thus extended his support for the winning side on Sunday.

Carlos Alcaraz was not at his best playing against Ugo Humbert in the Paris Masters third round. The four-time Grand Slam champion acknowledged that he could have performed better but said he fought with everything he had till the end.
"I think I could play better. I think that's obvious. But with the level that I had today, I think I compete, I gave everything. I fought until the last point," Alcaraz said as per ATPTour.com.
Alcaraz had nothing but respect for his opponent. He praised Humbert for raising his standards every time the two played each other.
"I have to congratulate Ugo. I think his performance has been really high. The way he hits the ball is unbelievable. It's amazing. I think every time that he plays against me, I feel like he increases his level. He plays a really high level of tennis. I think in Paris even more so. So congratulations to him, and good luck," the Spaniard added.
Carlos Alcaraz will be next in action at the ATP Finals. The Spaniard has dropped down to No. 3 in the rankings. Alexander Zverev, who was crowned champion at the Masters 1000 event, has taken the second spot.
