Carlos Alcaraz next match: Defending champion's schedule at Wimbledon 2024
Carlos Alcaraz is all set to defend his title at the 2024 Wimbledon Championships. He claimed his third Major crown at the French Open last month and became the youngest player to win a Grand Slam title on three different surfaces.
The Spaniard's winning streak didn't last for too long though. He kicked off his grass season at the Cinch Championships at Queen's Club, where he was the defending champion. Jack Draper knocked him out in the second round.
However, Alcaraz is no stranger to bouncing back from setbacks. This will be his second attempt to defend a Major. He reached the semifinals of his first Major title defense at last year's US Open.
A successful title defense at a Grand Slam would further bolster his credentials. With that in mind, here's a quick look at his schedule for the next two weeks at the All England Club:
Carlos Alcaraz's next match
Alcaraz will commence his title defense on Monday, July 1, on Centre Court. His first-round opponent is qualifier Mark Lajal, who will be making his Grand Slam debut.
