Carlos Alcaraz vs Jannik Sinner: Where to watch, TV schedule, live streaming details and more | China Open 2024 Final
World No. 3 Carlos Alcaraz will take on World No. 1 Jannik Sinner in the 2024 China Open finals. While Alcaraz edged past Medvedev in the semifinals, Sinner outsmarted local favourite Yunchaokete Bu, 6-3, 7-6(3).
Alcaraz and Sinner are among the top two performers on the men's tour this year. The Italian made a perfect start to the season by winning the Australian Open, but Alcaraz hit back quickly by lifting the titles in Paris and Wimbledon. Despite struggling for fitness in the last few months, Sinner levelled the score by capturing the crown at the US Open. With two Grand Slams apiece this year, both players will be poised to end the season on a clinical note.
Alcaraz and Sinner have faced each other nine times on tour and the Spaniard leads the head-to-head battle 5-4. This will be the second meeting between the duo in a final with Sinner providing the killer blow in the 2022 Umag Open final.
Having said that, Alcaraz has dominated both battles against the World No. 1 this year. He outfoxed Sinner in the semifinals of the BNP Paribas Open and the 2024 French Open. Their current form suggests an intense battle in the China Open final.
While Sinner is undefeated in his last 16 matches on tour, Alcaraz has amassed a six-match winning streak since losing in the second round of the US Open. The top seed Sinner will be a slight favorite entering this bout, but Alcaraz is yet to drop a set in Beijing. It will be interesting to see who earns the bragging rights after their title clash in the China Open tomorrow.
