Caroline Wozniacki is set to take on Danielle Collins at Stade Roland Garros on Monday, 29 July. The Dane faced a tough competitor in the first round in the form of Egypt's Mayar Sherif, who won the first set 6-2 convincingly. However, the former World No.1 mounted a strong comeback, winning the next two sets 7-5, 6-1 to advance to the second round.

Collins, on the other hand, is competing in her last Olympics in Paris. The American has had a great season, winning titles at the Miami Open and the Charleston Open earlier this year. Her most recent competitive appearance was in the fourth round of the Wimbledon 2024, where she lost to the eventual champion, Barbora Krejcikova.

Collins advanced to the second round at the Paris Olympics after defeating Laura Siegemund 6-3, 2-0 due to a walkover. The American trails Caroline Wozniacki 2-1 in their head-to-head, with the Dane winning their most recent match at the 2019 US Open. This will be their first clash in four years.
