Caroline Wozniacki indulges golf passion with new set of clubs, banters with Michelle Wie West over recommendations

Caroline Wozniacki recently showcased her brand-new set of golf clubs. Her choice was inspired by a recommendation from renowned golfer Michelle Wie West.

Wozniacki married former NBA champion David Lee in 2019, and the couple welcomed their daughter, Olivia, on June 11, 2021, and their son, James, on October 24, 2022. The former Australian Open champion often shares glimpses of her family life on social media.

This week, Wozniacki unveiled her all-black, masked Halloween look, sharing a video on Instagram walking and posing elegantly. The 34-year-old is also fond of golf. Last year, Wozniacki and Lee participated in the 8 AM Invitational, an event that attracted numerous high-profile celebrities, including Travis Kelce and Jimmy Fallon.

The Dane recently unveiled a new set of golf clubs in her Instagram stories. She expressed her excitement to try them out, anticipating long shots, as Michelle Wie West assured her they’re easy to hit. She wrote:

"Got my new clubs, excited to try them out! @michellewiewest I fully expect to hit them long and straight since you told me these are "easy" clubs to hit."

Caroline Wozniacki last competed this year at the 2024 US Open. She began her campaign in New York with a convincing 6-0, 6-1 win over Nao Hibino.

Wozniacki advanced to the second round, facing World No. 59 Renata Zarazúa. The Dane started strong, winning the first set 6-3, and repeated the score in the second to secure her place in the third round.

In the third round, the 34-year-old faced Jessika Ponchet, securing a 6-3, 6-2 win over the Frenchwoman. This set up Wozniacki’s first-ever tour encounter with Beatriz Haddad Maia. However, she couldn't get past the Brazilian and exited the tournament with a 6-2, 6-3, 6-3 defeat.

This was Wozniacki's last appearance on court. Her best performances this season came at the Indian Wells Masters and the Bad Homburg Open, where she reached the quarterfinals. At Indian Wells, however, she was forced to retire against reigning world No. 1 Iga Swiatek of Poland due to an injury.

Wozniacki currently holds a win-loss record of 15-12 this season.
