The 23rd edition of the men's tournament at the China Open will commence on September 26. Jannik Sinner won the ATP 500 event last year after beating Daniil Medvedev in the final.

What is the China Open?
The China Open is an ATP 500 hard-court tournament which is a part of the Asian Swing. The inaugural edition of the tournament took place in 1993, with Michael Chang winning it after beating Greg Rusedski in the final.
Novak Djokovic is the most successful player in the history of the tournament with six titles in a row. Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray and Andy Roddick are other layers who have triumphed in previous editions of the ATP 500 event.

Draw and Players
Jannik Sinner is the top seed at the ATP 500 event and will face Nicolas Jarry in the first round, with the winner taking on either Stan Wawrinka or Jan-Lennard Struff in the Round of 16.
Second seed Carlos Alcaraz is coming off at the back of his Laver Cup heroics and will look to have a good run in Beijing after his disappointments in Cincinnati and the US Open. The Spaniard will face Giovanni Mpetschi Perricard in the first round and the winner will take on either Miomir Kecmanovic or Tallon Griekspoor in the second round.
Daniil Medvedev will be involved in one of the most enthralling first-round fixtures, as he takes on Gael Monfils. The winner of this match will take on Lorenzo Sonego or Adrian Mannarino in the Round of 16.
Andrey Rublev, Grigor Dimitrov and Lorenzo Musetti are seeded fourth, fifth and sixth respectively, and all three are capable of doing well in Beijing. Other players competing in the ATP 500 event include Karen Khachanov, Alexander Bublik and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.
