Chris Evert, Stan Wawrinka, Casper Ruud & tennis world in awe of Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner after French Open final masterclass

Carlos Acaraz and Jannik Sinner played one of the greatest tennis matches ever in the final of the 2025 French Open, sending the world into euphoria. Unfortunately, there could only be one winner, and it was the man from Murcia who defied all the odds to overturn a two-set deficit and successfully defend his title 4-6, (4)6-7, 6-4, 7-6(3), 7-6(2) after five hours and 30 minutes of riveting tennis.

Though the tennis fraternity was already prepared to witness some of the best tennis ever played, the two men somehow managed to surpass all expectations, bringing out reactions from all over the world. The queen of clay court, Chris Evert herself, wanted both men to raise the trophies, owing to the performance they put up in the longest French Open final in tennis history.

"I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS MATCH .......," Evert wrote.
"GIVE THE TROPHY TO BOTH OF THEM....👍👏," She added.

Casper Ruud congratulated both Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner for putting on a history-making show.

"Whatever the outcome I would just like to say congratulations and thank you to both players for an incredible final🤯🙏👏 #rolandgarros."

Stan Wawrinka wrote,

"Insane Level 😱😲🔥 @rolandgarros."

Katie Boulter was heavily impressed by the quality and felt the Sincaraz (a nickname given to Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner's rivalry) rivalry had superseded the Fedal rivalry.

"Give it to them both 😭😭," she wrote.
"And we thought it couldn’t get any better than Fedal 😦 Scary tennis #RolandGarros2025."

Serena Williams' ex-coach Rennae Stubbs felt this was the greatest match in tennis history.

Andre Agassi and Coco Gauff's ex-coach Brad Gilbert wrote.

"That might be the cruelest beat i’ve ever seen, and there have been some epic 2 sets comebacks in the finals of slams, i need a TO," he wrote.

Marin Cilic, Alex de Minaur, Billie Jean King, and others also shared their thoughts on this epic finale.

"One of the best 5th sets ever alongside. Federer vs Nadal '08 Wimbledon + Djok vs Nadal AO 2012? Unbelievable level," Cilic questioned.
"The level of this whole match was insanity!!!!! What a day to be a fan of this beautiful sport 🙌🙌🙌 ❤️❤️," De Minaur wrote.
