Coco Gauff enjoys USA vs Japan World Baseball Classic final with her family ahead of Miami Open 2023
Coco Gauff, accompanied by her family, recently attended the 2023 World Baseball Classic final between the USA and Japan held at the Miami Marlins Stadium.
Gauff is set to kick off her Miami Open campaign on Thursday, March 23, where she will team up with fellow American Jessica Pegula for a doubles match. The duo will be pitted against the Czech pair of Brenda Fruhvirtova and Linda Fruhvirtova.
The 19-year old visited the Miami Marlins Stadium with her family to enjoy the final match between Team USA and Samurai Japan. She took to social media to share a video of her father and her two brothers, Codey and Cameron, enjoying the electrifying atmosphere of the stadium.
"USA vs Japan world baseball classic final with family," Gauff captioned her Instagram story.
"I don't know if I'll do it again, it tested my patience a lot" - Coco Gauff on her 'All American: Homecoming' acting stint
Coco Gauff will make her television debut as a guest star on the upcoming episode of 'All American: Homecoming.'
The show is a spinoff of the highly acclaimed 'All American' series, a sports drama that draws inspiration from the life of former NFL player Spencer Paysinger. The show follows Simone Hicks' character, portrayed by the talented actress Geffri Hightower.
During a press conference held at the 2023 BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, Gauff divulged about her acting experience. She revealed that she almost missed out on the opportunity due to a scheduling conflict with the WTA Finals.
"It was a very different experience. We did it in December during the offseason. It wasn't first going to work, because I think the first date they had me was during the WTA Finals. Obviously I wasn't going to miss that," Coco Gauff said.
Gauff seemed to be in two minds about repeating the experience, though she seemed inclined towards not doing so as the work is "not as easy as it seems on the TV."
"It was cool. I would do it again because of the people I met, but I don't think I would do it again because of the work. But if I can meet cool people, yeah, I would keep doing. Huge respect to all the actors, people in that business. It's definitely not as easy as it seems on the TV," she opined.
