Coco Gauff gives her verdict on Oscar-winning film 'Interstellar' after watching Anne Hathaway & Matthew McConaughey's blockbuster for the first time

Coco Gauff has shared her thoughts on renowned filmmaker Christopher Nolan's blockbuster movie 'Interstellar.' The critically acclaimed science fiction epic was recently re-released in theaters in honor of its 10th anniversary.

Featuring a star-studded cast of Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, and Jessica Chastain, 'Interstellar' tells the story of a group of astronauts searching for a wormhole near Saturn to save humanity as Earth becomes increasingly uninhabitable.

The movie gained widespread acclaim from critics and audiences upon its initial release in 2014, earning $681 million worldwide during its original theatrical run. The movie also received five Oscar nominations and won the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects.

Coco Gauff took advantage of the re-release to watch 'Interstellar' for the first time and was blown away by the "amazing" film.

"Just watched interstellar for the first time. what an amazing movie," Gauff posted on X.

The World No. 3 has had a strong streak of enjoying films lately, as she gave a perfect score to Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, and Jonathan Bailey's 'Wicked' movie, despite her typical aversion to musicals.

"I'm not a musical girly but this was really good!!! 10!!," Gauff posted on her Instagram story.

Similarly, Gauff lavished praise on the tennis-centric movie 'Challengers' that made waves earlier this year, even envisioning being "frenemies" with Zendaya's character Tashi Duncan.

"Challengers was good," Gauff posted.

Coco Gauff has incorporated her love for movies into her routine during Grand Slam tournaments. Speaking to Town & Country magazine last year, the 20-year-old disclosed that she chose to unwind with her team during Majors with relaxing activities like card games, dinners, and outings to catch a film.

The American also referred to herself as a "normal teenage girl," hilariously admitting that she had an online shopping addiction like most people her age.

"I maybe wind down a bit. I'm not doing two-a-day workouts but otherwise everything is the same. I play cards with my team, go to team dinners and trying to catch some movies in the city," Gauff said.
"I am really a normal teenage girl," she added. "I have a bit of an online shopping addiction like most teens lol."

After finishing her 2024 season with her maiden WTA Finals title and the World No. 3 ranking, Gauff has commenced her pre-season training. The American shared glimpses of her preparation on social media as she played volleyball and tried her hand at fencing.
