Coco Gauff's mom Candi turns cheerleader, shares social media post celebrating daughter's 'remarkable' season ahead of WTA Finals
Coco Gauff's mother Candi took to social media on Thursday to voice support for her daughter ahead of her 2024 WTA Finals campaign. The American had booked her spot in the season-ending finale after securing the third spot in the WTA Race rankings.
Sharing a post celebrating Gauff’s “remarkable” 2024 season on her Instagram story, Candi wrote, “Let’s go!!” and tagged her daughter. Dubbing it a “monumental” year for Gauff, the post mentioned her solid performances at big events including Grand Slams, the Australian Open, and the French Open:
"Coco Gauff's remarkable 2024 season saw her claim titles in Auckland and Beijing, reach six semifinals, and make history as the youngest champion in 14 years at the China Open, securing her second WTA 1000 title and eighth career singles title.
2024 has been a monumental year for Coco Gauff, who has secured two titles (Auckland and Beijing) and reached six semifinals, including notable performances at the Australian Open and the French Open. She also became the young champ in 14 years at the 2024 China Open, marking her second WTA 1000 title and eighth career singles title."
Notably, Gauff has not enjoyed the most successful season in 2024, having struggled with her serve of late. She couldn't defend her US Open title but a strong Asian swing has helped her maintain the World No. 3 ranking.
Coco Gauff will look to end the season on a high at the WTA Finals

Coco Gauff comes into the 2024 WTA Finals as the third seed and has landed in the Orange Group alongside the likes of last year's winner Iga Swiatek, US Open finalist Jessica Pegula, and the reigning Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejcikova.
The American will open her campaign with a round-robin encounter against compatriot and former doubles partner Pegula. She will then take on Swiatek and Krejcikova with an eye on the all-important knock-out stage spot. A good finish could help her inch closer to Swiatek and World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in the world ranking ladders.
Besides Sabalenka, the other group features Elena Rybakina and 2024 breakout stars Jasmine Paolini and Zheng Qinwen.
