Coco Gauff's mother Candi sends her love to daughter, proudly takes note of American's record-breaking achievements in 2024

Coco Gauff's mother, Candi Gauff, recently shared the American player's impressive 2024 season milestones. Gauff had a mixed 2024 season, characterized by a bright start, a dipping middle, and a great end.

Gauff's mother is an integral part of the World No. 3 's team. She is often seen in the player's box along with the other members of the team during the matches, cheering and egging her daughter on.

Candi recently took to Instagram to share her daughter's impressive 2024 statistics, highlighting the young athlete's accomplishments despite a season of mixed results.

Gauff won three titles in 2024, winning a WTA 500 event in Auckland, a WTA 1000 event in Beijing, and the WTA Finals in Riyadh. Winning the high-profile year-ending Championships made her the youngest player to win the event since Maria Sharapova, who bagged the title at the age of 17 in 2004.

All three of Gauff's titles in the 2024 season were clinched on hard courts. This extended her perfect record in hard court finals to eight wins. The only final Gauff has lost in her career so far was against Iga Swiatek at the 2022 French Open.

2024 was one of the most successful seasons for Coco Gauff

Coco Gauff did have a performance dip in the middle of the 2024 season, where she lost more than she won. Still, the 54 wins that the American secured in 2024, is the highest for her in a calendar year, surpassing her 51 wins from last season.

The American also achieved 23 wins at the WTA 1000 level this year, taking her overall tally to more than 50 at this level, which is a first for a teenage player. She also earned the distinction of winning more than 60 matches at Grand Slams before the age of 21.

Even though Gauff could not add to her Grand Slams count in singles this year, she had a breakthrough moment in doubles. The American won the women's doubles title at the French Open, partnering with Katerina Siniakova.

This Grand Slam win made the American player the youngest to hold a Major title in both singles and doubles since Kim Clijsters in 2005. The Belgian player won both the singles and doubles Grand Slams at the age of 22, when she won the 2005 US Open. Prior to that, Clijsters had already secured two doubles Grand Slam titles in 2003.
