Following the match, Medvedev expressed his love and appreciation for his wife Daria and their daughter, who was born in October 2022. He talked about the "amazing emotions" that accompanied his experience of becoming a father and referred to his daughter as "a pure beauty."

"Well, first of all, it's amazing. It's just amazing emotions. She is a pure beauty. I'm really happy to have them both in my life," Medvedev said in coversation with Tennis Channel presenters Jim Courier and Brett Haber.

The 27-year-old also highlighted the limited time he was able to spend with his daughter during his title runs at the Qatar Open and the Dubai Tennis Championships due to the demanding schedule of the ATP Tour.

"I was spending an hour with my daughter in the mornings and that's it," he said. "That's how tennis life is."

Daniil Medvedev reflected on winning his first ATP Masters 1000 title as a father. He reckoned that his daughter would be more appreciative of his presence at home with her than his title win in Miami.

"I'm not sure if she cares about whether I have a title or not because probably she would be happier if I come home over there," Medvedev said in his post-match interview.

The 27-year-old also joked that his daughter wouldn't care whether he won an ATP 500 event or a Masters 1000 event.

"Well, I dont think my daughter cares if it's a 1000 or a 500," he added.

Following his win at the Miami Open, Daniil Medvedev will make his return to the ATP top 4. Meanwhile, his opponent Jannik Sinner will match his career-high ranking of World No. 9. The pair will be back in action for the start of their claycourt season at the Monte-Carlo Masters, scheduled to begin on April 9.
