Daria Kasatkina gushed over her girlfriend, Natalia Zabiiako's incredible ice-skating session with Olympic gold medalist Wenjing Sui in Beijing. The 27-year-old is currently competing at the China Open and has defeated Jana Fett in the first round. She will face Amanda Anisimova next.
Kasatkina is accompanied by her girlfriend Zabiiako in the Chinese capital. Zabiiako is a competitive pair skater with notable achievements, including a bronze medal finish at the 2019 World Championships and a silver at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics. She recently shared a video on Instagram showcasing her skating skills alongside legendary Chinese pair skater Wenjing Sui.
Sui is known for her exceptional performances at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games and the Beijing 2022 Olympic Games, where she won silver and gold, respectively. She has also claimed a world championship title twice (in 2017 and 2019).
Zabiiako also added a humorous caption in the clip in which she called the Chinese a "tiny partner".
"Starting to remember pair skating with incredible @wenjingsui So nice to have a tiny partner," Zabiiako wrote in the caption.
Kasatkina later shared her delight, sharing the video on her Instagram story and writing:

Daria Kasatkina celebrated an adorable moment with her girlfriend Natalia Zabiiako after clinching the 2024 Rothesay International title. Kasatkina, who had lost the Rothesay International final last year, faced Leylah Fernandez this time in the summit clash.
Kasatkina dominated the Canadian from the outset, winning the match 6-3, 6-4. This victory marked Kasatkina's seventh tour-level title. Following her emphatic triumph, Kasatkina ran towards her girlfriend, Zabiiako, and the couple shared a loving embrace before she thanked her coaching team.
Later, during her on-court victory speech, Kasatkina took a moment to express her gratitude to her team for their support throughout her title-winning journey.
"Of course, thanks to my team. Guys, it’s been a long road to the title but I’m really proud of (us). I’m really proud for the work we put in and the outcome. Thank you so much for being next to me, doesn’t matter how bad it is, how good it is," she said.
Zabiiako, 30, has frequently accompanied Kasatkina to the WTA tournaments.
