The most competitive tie on Day 6 at the 2024 Davis Cup occurred between 2022 champions Canada and ten-time Davis Cup winners Great Britain. The latter came into the tie needing to win it to have a chance to qualify for the knockout phase.

The tie opened with the match between Denis Shapovalov and Daniel Evans. The Canadian put on a dominant display, dropping only 4 points on his first serve, winning the match 6-0, 7-5.

Great Britain needed to win the next match to stay alive in the contest, which saw 2024 US Open semi-finalist Jack Draper take on Felix Auger-Aliassime. The Canadian hit 25 winners past the Brit, to win the match in two tight sets, 7-6 (8), 7-5 in just over two hours to give the tie to Canada.

The Great Britain team secured a consolation victory in the doubles with the team of Henry Patten and Neal Skupski beating Gabriel Diallo and Alexis Galarneu.

Defending champions Italy kept their winning record intact by finishing the group stage with a win over the Netherlands. Matteo Berrettini continued his winning run, defeating Botic van de Zandschulp after dropping the first set. The next match saw Flavio Cobolli defeat Tallon Griekspoor in another tight three-setter to help Italy win the tie and keep the top spot in their group.

Spain also kept their winning record, defeating Australia in the final group tie to take the top spot. The Spanish team was without the services of Carlos Alcaraz in this tie, but won it courtesy of Pablo Carreno Busta (who defeated Jordan Thompson in the singles), and the team of Marcel Granollers and Pedro Martinez who defayed the team of Matthew Ebden and Max Purcell in the doubles.

In the other tie of the day, Chile defeated Slovakia in a dead-rubber tie as both teams were already eliminated, with Germany and the USA Qualifying from the Group.
