"Didn't ever happen...it's insane" - Andy Roddick dismisses Donald Trump's claim about young males taken by authorities "without parental consent"
Andy Roddick has rubbished former US President and 2024 candidate Donald Trump over a recent claim. The 78-year-old had claimed that government authorities are taking away young males in the US without the consent of their parents and performing condemnable acts on them. According to Roddick, there is no truth to Trump's claim.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and his political rival from the Democrats, Kamala Harris, the current Vice President, have upped the ante recently as the 2024 presidential elections wind down. Both Trump and Harris have verbally attacked each other during their respective rallies and public appearances, with the recent Republican gathering at Madison Square Garden particularly stirring controversy.
The former President recently gave an exclusive interview to Fox News' Sean Hannity, during which he claimed, without providing any concrete proof:
"A young man leaves for school and goes to school and the authority takes him over without parental consent and they do things to him that you don't want to know about. Is this supposed to be America? I don't think so. These people are radical people. Let me tell you, she (Kamala Harris) is not a smart person. She is a low IQ individual."
Former World No. 1 and 2003 US Open champion Andy Roddick took notice of the claim on X (formerly Twitter) and blatantly dismissed it.
"Didn’t ever happen. Because it’s insane," Andy Roddick wrote.
Earlier this month, Roddick was left confused by a theory surfaced by Trump about the violence that shook the US Capitol back in January 2021.
"Literally the President at the time" - Andy Roddick did not see much sense in Donald Trump's recent "riot" theory about controversial January 2021 incident
Donald Trump recently shared a photo on Truth Social that featured a moment from the January 6, 2021 US Capitol violence. The photo also had a written caption on it, stating: 'January 6 will go down in history as the day the government staged a riot'.
Trump resharing the photo later became known among X users, and Andy Roddick was one who expressed his bafflement at the caption that the former President seemingly endorsed.
"Like he was the government. Literally the president at the time. Who doesn’t understand this ?" Roddick wrote.
Roddick is a vocal critic of Donald Trump from the world of tennis and has frequently taken to social media to voice his opposition towards the former President. Legendary Czech-American Martina Navratilova is another tennis personality who continues to lambast Trump and the Republicans.
