Emma Raducanu fondly recalls Porsche GT3 experience amid reports of conflicts with luxury brand
Emma Raducanu recently lost access to her Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet, a perk she received as a brand ambassador. Amid reports of a rift with the luxury car brand, the Brit fondly reminisced about her experience driving a Porsche GT3.
2021 was a remarkable year for Raducanu. The then-18-year-old captured her first Grand Slam title at the US Open, defeating Leylah Fernandez in the final.
Her rise to prominence that year led to several high-profile brand partnerships, including Vodafone, and Dior, and a global ambassadorship with Porsche in the following year. As part of the deal, the luxury car brand granted her access to a $163,000 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet.
However, one of Raducanu's associates recently reported that the luxury brand has reclaimed the vehicle from the 21-year-old.
"Emma no longer has a Porsche. They took it back. It used to have pride of place at her home," they said.
Additionally, a spokesperson from the luxury brand confirmed the update to the Daily Mail, which has sparked speculation about potential conflicts between the two parties.
Raducanu recently reminisced about her experience driving a Porsche GT3 two years ago. The Brit shared a few photos on her Instagram story from when she filmed a promotional video with the brand at the Brands Hatch circuit in Kent.
"Memories of @brandshatchofficial," Raducanu captioned her story.
She added another caption to her second story, which read:
"Can't believe this was two years ago...so excited that a new GT3 has been unveiled."
Emma Raducanu still the brand Ambassador of Porsche despite recent developments
Emma Raducanu continues to hold her role as an ambassador for the luxury car brand, Porsche, despite recent reports of the company reclaiming her sports car. A spokesperson from the brand confirmed the reports, emphasizing that both parties remain "very happy" with their partnership.
"Emma Raducanu is a global brand ambassador for Porsche and there have not been any changes within our successful partnership since it started in 2022. We are very happy with our partnership," they told (via Daily Mail).
Following this, the Romanian car brand Dacia gifted the World No. 56 a brand-new car. They shared the update on X.
"Dear @EmmaRaducanu, Whether it's your forehand, backhand, or Sandero keys in-hand — you know a thing or two about reliability. So while some brands may (double) fault and let you down, you can always trust your Sandero. Here’s to many more miles," the post read.
Raducanu has not been in ideal form this season with a win-loss record of 20-13. The 21-year-old's most recent appearance was at the Korea Open, where she had to retire mid-match during her quarterfinal encounter with Daria Kasatkina. Consequently, she missed the entire Asian swing.
