Emma Raducanu spotted behind the wheel of new Porsche weeks after losing access to her previous luxury sports car amid reported conflict
Emma Raducanu was recently spotted driving around London in a new Porsche car, shortly after reports emerged that the sports car initially gifted to her by the brand had been reclaimed. By getting behind the wheel of her new luxury vehicle, Raducanu seemingly quelled speculation about her apparent conflict with the German automobile manufacturer.
Raducanu became the brand ambassador for Porsche in 2022, soon after her historic triumph at the 2021 US Open. To celebrate the partnership, the automaker gifted the 21-year-old a sleek silver 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet worth £125,000 ($163,000), which frequently made an appearance on her social media.
However, the Brit's association with the luxury car brand came into question when reports emerged that she had lost the privileges of her sports car. An associate of Emma Raducanu reportedly told the Daily Mail that Porsche had "taken back" the car.
"Emma no longer has a Porsche. They took it back. It used to have pride of place at her home," the associate reportedly said.
Adding weight to the rumors, Raducanu was seen driving around London in her reliable Dacia Sandero, which she bought second-hand after getting her driver's license four years ago.
Despite this, a Porsche spokesperson clarified that the Brit remained their global brand ambassador and that their "successful partnership" was unchanged.
"Emma Raducanu is a global brand ambassador for Porsche and there have not been any changes within our successful partnership since it started in 2022. We are very happy with our partnership," the spokesperson said.
Evidently, the brand's assurances about their partnership were true, as Raducanu was recently spotted picking up a brand new Porsche car. Shortly after taking a dig at the media coverage of her boarding a bus, the 21-year-old drove around in a Porsche Cayenne, worth £100,000.

Given the spotlight on Emma Raducanu driving her faithful Dacia Sandero amid reports of her conflict with Porsche, the Romanian automaker offered the Brit an upgrade to her beloved car.
Posting a picture of a black Sandero parked outside the gates of Wimbledon, Dacia cheekily reminded Raducanu about the brand's "reliability" while taking a sly dig at Porsche for letting the youngster down.
"Dear @EmmaRaducanu, Whether it's your forehand, backhand, or Sandero keys in-hand — you know a thing or two about reliability. So while some brands may (double) fault and let you down, you can always trust your Sandero. Here’s to many more miles," the post read.
On the tennis front, Emma Raducanu recently pulled out of the Hong Kong Open, disclosing that she had "sprained some ligaments in her foot" while sustaining an injury at the Korea Open.
