"Everybody peaked here fashion-wise" - Tennis fans recall iconic photoshoot including Federer, Nadal and Maria Sharapova 7 years ago

Tennis fans were buzzing after an iconic 2015 photoshoot involving Roger Federer, Maria Sharapova, Rafael Nadal and several other top players resurfaced online on Thursday.

In a lead up to the 2015 US Open, Nike held an event titled 'NYC Street Tennis', taking players to the streets of New York to promote the annual Grand Slam. A huge crowd was in attendance to watch their favorite stars play tennis in the middle of the street. The players also took pictures in front of a yellow taxi in an effort to remake one of Nike's classic commercials from the 90's.

Other than the aforementioned players, several others including Serena Williams, Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi, Genie Bouchard, Grigor Dimitrov, Madison Keys, Nick Kyrgios and John McEnroe also attended the event.

Several fans reacted on social media to the iconic pictures from the shoot, which re-emerged online after seven years. Author of 'Big 3', Bastien Fachan, stated that the players "peaked" in terms of fashion.

"Everybody peaked here fashion-wise," their tweet read.

One user cropped Sharapova from the whole picture to term the former World No. 1 a "stargirl."

"Stargirl," the tweet read.

Another fan questioned why Eugenie Bouchard was standing in front of home-favorite Serena Williams for the pictures.

"They even had genie standing in front of Serena????????," they wrote in their tweet.

One fan jokingly stated that Grigor Dimitrov was "eyeing" Sharapova, as the Bulgarian can be seen glancing in the direction of the 35-year-old in the picture.

"When Dimitrov was eyeing Sharapova," they wrote in their tweet.

Here are a few other fan reactions:

@christophclarey Bouchard being in this pic is hilarious.
@christophclarey If Pete had been 8ft tall that shirt would’ve been a nice fit. 😂
@christophclarey At this moment, no one thought a young Serbian will eat them all
@christophclarey Times before GOAT arrived - they still could smile and be happy, but it have not lasted long
@christophclarey All Nike athletes. This is the time when Nike had Maria front and center while Serena was in the background. How times have changed.
This is epic on so many levels. twitter.com/christophclare…

Novak Djokovic defeated Roger Federer 6–4, 5–7, 6–4, 6–4 in the final to win the men's singles title at the 2015 US Open. It marked the Serb's second title at the US Open and tenth Grand Slam title overall.

Federer cruised past his opponents in the opening rounds of the tournament. From the first round up to the semi-finals, the second seed won all his matches in straight sets, barely being threatened by his opponents.

However, the current World No. 1 was too much for the Swiss to handle on the hard court at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

Meanwhile, Flavia Pennetta beat Roberta Vinci (7-6 (4), 6-2) to win the women's singles title at the 2015 US Open.
