Coco Gauff about her mother Candi: “She's my biggest fan for sure"
While speaking about her parents, father Corey and mother Candi, in a press conference earlier this year, Coco Gauff said that there is nothing like a " mother-daughter relationship." She also expressed that it is always nice to have her mother on tour with her.
“Yeah, I mean, both my parents are constant support all the time. My mom, it's just a motherly thing. There's nothing like a mother daughter relationship. Especially in swings like Asia where it maybe is more isolated than usual, we just play Uno lot," Gauff said.
Gauff also stated that her mother, Candi, is her biggest supporter and having her on in tours makes playing in a tournament easier for her.
“It's great to have my mom. She's my biggest fan for sure. Having one or both of my parents I think always makes the tournament easier. You don't have to take care of some things . She's always reminding, me, Do you have your headphones, change of shoes, clothes? Just things that moms, dads, they all do. I don't think I'll ever grow out of that as long as they're alive," she added
Looking ahead, Coco Gauff will kick off her 2025 season by representing the United States of America at the United Cup in Perth, Australia. She will join Taylor Fritz, Danielle Collins, Denis Kudla, Robert Galloway, and Desirae Krawczyk in the American squad. Team USA is slated to compete in Group A where they will face Canada and Croatia.
