"Full heart, small nips, can't lose" - Taylor Fritz's girlfriend Morgan Riddle hilariously cheers American on after Paris Olympics 2R win
Taylor Fritz's influencer girlfriend Morgan Riddle has hilariously cheered the American on after his come-from-behind win against Jack Draper at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Tuesday, July 30. Fritz has got off to a flying start at the prestigious Games, having won all his matches across men's singles, men's doubles and mixed doubles categories so far.
Former World No. 5 Fritz lost the tight first set to Draper after the Brit asserted his superiority in the tiebreak [6-7(3)]. However, the California native drastically upped his game from the second set onwards, with the young Brit unable to cope with the problems posed to him by the big-serving Fritz. Ultimately, Fritz took the second and third sets 6-3, 6-2 respectively to seal his place in the third round. The 2022 BNP Paribas Open winner had earlier dispatched Alexander Bublik in the first round.
One of the highlights of Fritz's win over Draper was the American roaring while pointing to the USA flag on his shirt. The World No. 12 later shared the moment on Instagram, captioning the post:
"Different energy @olympics (pointing finger emoji) us, Round 2 (green tick emoji)"
A playful Riddle later commented on the post, hilariously suggesting that Fritz's combination of "big heart" and "small nips" made him unbeatable.
"Full heart, small nips, can't lose," Riddle wrote.
Taylor Fritz's girlfriend Morgan Riddle recently shared her honest Paris Olympics review
Riddle had not traveled to Paris initially with Fritz, but later joined him in the French capital. The influencer went on to share her first impressions of the Paris Olympics via two Instagram Story posts.
She expressed her disbelief at how empty Paris seemed to be when she arrived. Riddle also revealed that she had managed to find a hotel at an extremely affordable price.
"Paris Olympics first impressions:I thought the city would be insane, but it's the opposite. It feels quiet and empty compared to normal - tourism is way down. The airport was a ghost town when I got in. I got my hotel for a shockingly cheap price as they dropped everything last week when they realized no one was coming here, unless they are coming for the Olympics, dinner reservations are so easy," Riddle wrote.
Fritz's girlfriend proceeded to compare the Paris Olympics to the French Open, opining that the claycourt Major is more glamorous.
"Tennis specifically, the Roland Garros site feels veryyy different. The plethora of bars, restaurants and food stands are closed - just a few food stalls and coffee, definitely not as glam as RG," Riddle added.
Meanwhile, Fritz is set to face Lorenzo Musetti in the men's singles third round on Wednesday, July 31. On the same day, he is slated to hit the Roland Garros courts for his second-round matches in men's doubles (with Tommy Paul) and mixed doubles (with Coco Gauff).
