"Gonna be epic" - Andy Roddick's partner Eugenie Bouchard excited to go up against Andre Agassi & wife Steffi Graf at Pickleball Slam 3

Eugenie Bouchard will make her debut at the Pickleball Slam as she is set to partner Andy Roddick in the third edition of the event against defending champions Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf. The event will be held in Las Vegas on February 16, 2025.

The Pickleball Slam is a unique sporting event that features tennis legends competing in pickleball, a rapidly growing racket sport. The inaugural Pickleball Slam was held in 2023 and featured prominent tennis stars such as Agassi, Roddick, John McEnroe, and Michael Chang.

Agassi and Roddick were a team in the doubles match and they won the inaugural Slam. Earlier this year, Agassi teamed up with his wife Steffi Graf against McEnroe and Maria Sharapova in a mixed doubles event. The husband and wife emerged victorious 11-7, 13-11 to claim the $1 million prize.

In the third edition of the event, Agassi and Graf will be back to defend their title against the team of pro-pickleball player Bouchard and former tennis star Roddick.

The Pickleball Slam's official Instagram account posted a reel in which Agassi announced the third edition. Bouchard uploaded the reel on her Instagram story and wrote:

Andre Agassi said in a statement that he is eagerly waiting to return to the pickleball court and defend the title with his wife Steffi Graf. The American light-heartedly claimed that he felt "sorry" for his opponents, Andy Roddick and Eugenie Bouchard.

“I can’t wait to return with Steffi and defend our title in February at Slam 3,” said Agassi in a statement. “It’s an incredible opportunity to play in my hometown of Las Vegas, where the stakes are high, and the energy is electric. In this city, the odds are always in our favor, and I almost feel a little sorry for Andy and Genie.”

Andy Roddick, however, responded to the statement with a hilarious jibe. The 2003 US Open winner claimed he "carried" Agassi to their inaugural win but he was "concerned" about Graf as she was a "force to be reckoned with."

The highly anticipated Pickleball match will air live on ESPN, just like previous editions of the Slam. The event has attracted impressive viewership, peaking at 800,000 viewers in 2023 and surging to over 990,000 in 2024.
