"I always said Novak Djokovic was going to the greatest " - Former tennis pro snubs Rafael Nadal & Roger Federer in GOAT debate, backs Serb

Former tennis pro Diego Hartfield has weighed in on the GOAT debate involving Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Roger Federer. The Argentine said he had always believed the Serb would stand out the most. 

For nearly two decades, the GOAT debate between the trio has been a hot topic among fans, experts, and analysts. Djokovic currently leads the race with 24 Grand Slam titles, making him the most decorated of the trio. Nadal follows suit with 22, while Federer, who retired in 2022, concluded his illustrious career with 20.

Hartfield, whose career coincided briefly with the era of the Big 3 but lasted just five years, shared during an interview with CLAY that he has always vouched for Djokovic. He added that he still enjoys following the former World No. 1's matches and appreciates his style of play.

"I was always for Djokovic. Always. I always said he was going to be the greatest of them all. I liked him a lot, I still like the way he plays. If I have to watch a tennis match today, I watch Djokovic. And he’s a histrionic guy as well, he has his past, he lived through the war as a kid," Hartfield said.
