"I'm gonna get into golf" - Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian wants to join tennis legend as she shows off her golf skills

Serena Williams has lately been pursuing an interest in golf as part of a brand campaign. She was also part of a 2023 Super Bowl commercial in which she played a bit of golf. After watching the tennis great show off her skills as a golfer, Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian is also now itching to play the sport more often.

Williams was impressive with a golf club in her hand during the campaign for Michelob Ultra. A star-studded commercial made by the beer brand featuring Williams alongside sporting superstars Alex Morgan, Canelo Alvarez, Jimmy Butler and Nneka Ogumwike as well as actor Brian Cox, was shown during the 2023 Super Bowl on Sunday.

Williams, a 23-time Grand Slam champion, seemed quite excited at being able to give golf a shot. She even shared a few images of herself on the golf course, ready to take a swing.

"Party on the 19th hole with @michelobultra," Serena Williams captioned her Instagram post.

Serena Williams recently spoke about some of her biggest interests, and golfing is certainly among them. The 41-year-old admitted that she has not had much time lately, but declared that she would pick up a golf club and play the sport recreationally as soon as her schedule got freed up a bit.

"I’m not golfing at all these days. Although I am definitely going to pick up golf as soon as I have time, which hopefully will be very soon," Williams said in a recent interview with ESSENCE.

Williams is known to be good friends with one of golf's GOATs, Tiger Woods. She revealed last year that she contemplated retirement much earlier than her eventual farewell at the 2022 US Open, but a chat with Woods inspired her to make a comeback from injury and play a few more tournaments.
