"I'm ready for a husband" - Taylor Townsend reacts hilariously after getting fed up with home-cleaning struggles

Taylor Townsend hilariously suggested that she is prepared to have a husband. The 28-year-old's admission came as a result of her struggles with cleaning her house.

Townsend was born in Chicago, Illinois, and currently resides in Smyrna, Georgia. She idolized Martina Navratilova growing up and made her WTA Tour-level debut in 2010. She reached her career-high singles ranking of World No. 46 in August this year and in June last year, she was ranked World No. 5 in doubles. Townsend's current singles ranking is World No. 68, and in doubles, she is ranked 9th in the world.

Recently, Taylor Townsend took to Instagram and shared a video of herself. In the video, she was cleaning the floor of one of the spaces of her home using a vacuum cleaner. She also sported a pair of headphones. However, Townsend was going about things rather clumsily and for the most part, had a frustrated expression. She hilariously captioned the video:

"Yeah... I'm ready for a husband because this s**t 0/10"

Townsend was previously in a relationship, and in October 2020, she announced her pregnancy via a social media post. In March 2021, Townsend gave birth to a baby boy, who she later named Adyn Aubrey. Very little is known about Adyn Aubrey's father.

On the tennis front, Townsend's last outing came at the China Open, where she featured in both singles and doubles.

At the 2024 China Open, Townsend started her singles campaign with a hard-fought 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 win over Martina Trevisan. However, Townsend's singles campaign at the prestigious WTA 1000 event came to an end in the very next round, as No. 26 seed Katie Boulter condemned her to a 4-6, 4-6 loss.

Things were even more disappointing for Townsend in doubles, as she and partner Katerina Siniakova, seeded second, suffered a shock upset at the hands of Ukrainian duo Lyudmyla Kichenok and Marta Kostyuk. While Townsend and Siniakova comprehensively won the first set 6-2, Kichenok and Kostyuk remarkably bounced back and won the next two sets 7-6(7), 11-9.

So far this year, Townsend has a 23-20 win-loss record in singles. Meanwhile, in doubles, her win-loss record for the season stands at 26-11. While Townsend hasn't won a singles title in 2024, she has clinched three titles in doubles.
