"I need this on a shirt" - Coco Gauff grooves to rapper Tyler, The Creator's latest album 'Chromakopia,' cheekily reacts to her name drop

Coco Gauff recently shared her positive opinion on rapper Tyler, the Creator's latest album, Chromakopia. One of the songs on the album, which the rapper released as his latest single, features a mention of Gauff.

On Monday, October 28, California-based rapper and producer Tyler, the Creator released his seventh album, Chromakopia, through Columbia Records. The album carries on where the rapper left off in his last album, Call Me If You Get Lost, which was released three years ago. Chromakopia consists of 14 songs, which deal with young adults' concerns over their newly-found adulthood.

The 11th song on the album, "Thought I Was Dead", featuring fellow California-based rapper Schoolboy Q, contains Coco Gauff's mention in the second verse:

"B**ch, you ain't Coco Gauff, you can't serve me," Tyler, the Creator raps.

Gauff, being a fan of the rapper, was quick to listen to the album and later expressed her positive thoughts on it. The official Instagram page of the album shared an image with the words:

Gauff later shared two Instagram Stories as well. She reiterated her opinion on the album and suggested that she needs a shirt with the eight-word phrase on it, in the first story.

"Oh, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Lol I need this on a shirt. #Iwokeupandlistenedtochromakopia," Gauff wrote.

Gauff, the current World No. 3, is slated to make a WTA Finals appearance for the third year in a row. Her first outing at the year-end event came in 2022. However, on that occasion, she could not get past the group stage, losing all three matches she played against Iga Swiatek, Daria Kasatkina and eventual champion Caroline Garcia.

Last year, she improved on her 2022 performance and reached the semifinals, but was ousted here by compatriot and eventual runner-up Jessica Pegula. The draw for the 2024 WTA Finals is scheduled to take place on Thursday, October 31.

Coco Gauff has been on a good run of form since her disappointing exit from the 2024 US Open. She participated at the China Open and the Wuhan Open - both WTA 1000 events. In the former, she won the title, while in the latter, she reached the semifinals before losing to eventual champion Aryna Sabalenka.
