Iga Swiatek vs Aryna Sabalenka: Where to watch, TV schedule, live streaming details and more | Italian Open, Final
The 2024 Italian Open women's final will see the Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka, the world's top two women go to battle once again for the crown. The pair recently went head-to-head in Madrid a couple of weeks ago for the title, with Swiatek prevailing in an exhilarating three-setter.
The Pole has been simply outstanding all week and is yet to drop a set. She brushed aside Bernarda Pera and Yulia Putinseva in her opening two matches before seeing off three-time Grand Slam champion Angelique Kerber in the fourth round.
She beat Madison Keys in a re-match of their Madrid semi-final from a couple of weeks ago. Up against 3rd seed Coco Gauff in the semis, Swiatek registered her ninth win over her to seal a berth in her third final in the Italian Capital.
She's won the event twice in the past, in 2021 against Karolina Pliskova, and in 2022 against Ons Jabeur.
Sabalenka, on the other hand, hasn't had as easy a path to the summit clash. She was pushed the distance in her opener against Katie Volynets but came back strong in her second match against 32nd seed Dayana Yastremska. She plowed through another grueling three-setter against 16th seed Elina Svitolina in the fourth round.
Sabalenka has since beaten Jelena Ostapenko and Danielle Collins in straight sets to reach her first Italian Open final ever.
It will be the 10th meeting between Swiatek and Sabalenka, with the Pole currently leading their head-to-head 7-3. It will be their 6th meeting on the red dirt with Swiatek currently leading 4-1 on the surface.
