Iga Swiatek vs Jessica Pegula: Where to Watch, TV schedule, live streaming details and more | Qatar Open, final

World No. 1 Iga Swiatek will face Jessica Pegula in the final of the Qatar Open on Saturday.

Swiatek and Pegula are the top two seeds at the WTA 500 tournament and both have done very well to make it to the title clash. The former entered the Qatar Open as the defending champion and has dropped only two games so far.

Swiatek received a bye to the second round of the tournament because of her seeding and started with a crushing 6-0, 6-1 win over Danielle Collins. She was scheduled to face Belinda Bencic in the quarterfinals but the Swiss withdrew from the match due to fitness, giving the World No. 1 a free ticket to the semifinals.

Here, the Pole faced eighth seed Veronika Kudermetova and thrashed her 6-0, 6-1 to reach her maiden singles final of the 2023 season.

Like Swiatek, Pegula also received a walkover to the second round because of her seeding. The American faced Jelena Ostapenko in the Round of 16 and won the opening set 6-2. However, the Latvian roared back in the second to win it 6-2 and force the match into a decider.

Ostapenko was a break up in the final set but Pegula broke back before doing so again to win 7-5 and book her place in the quarterfinals. Here, she beat Beatriz Haddad Maia 6-3, 6-2 to set up a semifinal clash against Maria Sakkari.

Pegula started the match brilliantly and won the opening set 6-2 but the Greek was not one to back down and she won the second set 6-4 to take the match to a third set. Pegula regained the momentum in the final set and won it 6-1 to book her place in the final.

Iga Swiatek and Jessica Pegula will lock horns for the seventh time, with the former leading 4-2 in the head-to-head. The Pole will enter the match as the favorite to win but the American beat her in their last meeting, so she cannot be written off.
