"Imagine telling Taylor Swift to shut up and dribble" - Andy Roddick slams news anchor for accusing pop star of endorsing Kamala Harris during concert

Former US Open champion Andy Roddick has criticized Fox News anchor Harris Faulkner for accusing Taylor Swift of endorsing Kamala Harris. Swift recently shared several photos from her "Lover" tour performance in Warsaw, Poland. An image on the seventh slide of the post showed the American pop star performing with a silhouetted woman behind her, who was waving with her back to the camera.

Many of the netizens noted that the woman resembled Kamala Harris of the Democratic Party, leading to speculation about Swift's potential political endorsement in the upcoming U.S. presidential elections.

Highlighting the incident, Fox News host Harris Falkner advised the pop star to keep her political views separate while entertaining the fans, who had paid to see her live.

"I think two things about this, the tickets are extremely expensive to go see her. I know because, you know my Bella's 16th birthday, that's what she wanted, she's a huge Taylor Swift fan. And, uh, if we're going to pay that much money as consumers, you don't need to serve up politics for that," Faulkner said.

Faulkner emphasized that Swift has the right to express her political views offstage but should focus on performance during the concert.

"It's divided us as such a nation, why can't you go to a concert without that? She can vote any kind of way she wants, she can talk about it off stage, but when people pay to see you, just perform. And by the way, I mean this is just my take on that picture, if you're a backup dancer why are you in a suit? "
I mean you can see that's a blazer and those are pants. Whoever it is is wearing a suit and I don't know, maybe that, is there a song where she sings 'I went to the corporate office?" she added.

Responding to the post, Andy Roddick, slammed Faulkner for her comments, pointing out that the journalist didn't have any issues with celebrities, such as Scott Baio, who recently offered Donald Trump debate strategy advice against Kamala Harris.

"Imagine someone telling @taylorswift13 how/what to perform. At her own show ……. Imagine telling her to shut up and dribble, but also asking Scott Baio/Ted Nugent about campaign strategy on air," Roddick wrote on X.

The upcoming U.S. presidential election will be held in November this year. Kamala Harris is the nominee for the Democratic Party, while Donald Trump is the nominee for the Republican Party.

Pro Football Hall of Famer Brett Favre claimed that Taylor Swift was dating the Kansas City Chiefs' Travis Kelce for money and publicity earlier in January.

Favre was one of 38 defendants in a lawsuit related to Mississippi's welfare scandal last year. A state audit revealed that at least $77 million in welfare funds intended to assist the poor people of the USA was misused by those involved.

In a now-deleted post, Roddick pointed out the allegations against Favre while defending Taylor Swift. The 41-year-old highlighted another accusation that the former NFL player used a portion of the fund to build a volleyball facility for his daughter's team.

"Brett Favre talking about money grabs when he was in on a scheme to steal welfare from people in his home state to build a volleyball stadium for his daughters volleyball team," Roddick posted on social media platform X.

Roddick has frequently expressed his support for the 14-time Grammy Award winner and also attended her concert in Cincinnati, Ohio.
