In Pictures: Aryna Sabalenka's boyfriend Georgios Frangulis shares snaps from their 'best life' together during Belarusian's Wuhan Open title run
Aryna Sabalenka's boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis shared some photos from their time together in China, where the Belarusian won the 2024 Wuhan Open title. This was Sabalenka's third title in Wuhan, having previously won the title in 2018 when she defeated Anett Kontaveit in the final and in 2019 when she overcame Alison Riske in the title clash.
Sabalenka entered the final WTA 1000 tournament of the season as the defending champion and started as the top seed. She started her campaign in the second round after receiving a first-round bye and defeated Katerina Siniakova in straight sets, followed by victories against Yulia Putintseva and Magdalena Frech in the third round and the quarterfinals, respectively.
Sabalenka then overcame fourth seed Coco Gauff 1-6, 6-4, 6-4 in the semifinals before besting the fifth seed Zheng Qinwen 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 to win the title.
A week later, Aryna Sabalenka's boyfriend Georgios Frangulis took to social media and shared a series of photos from their time in China, including a picture of himself and the former World No.1 with the Wuhan Open trophy. He described his time in China as "unplanned globetrotting."
"Past few weeks of unplanned globetrotting," Frangulis captioned his Instagram post.
Aryna Sabalenka reacted to Frangulis' post by commenting that he was living his best life through the "unplanned globetrotting."
"Meu amor living his best life 😜 😂 ❤️ 🦖 🐒 ❤️ ," Sabalenka commented.
"@arynasabalenka hahah ♥️ 🇨🇳 ," Frangulis replied.
Aryna Sabalenka had entered the Wuhan Open on the back of a victorious US Open campaign, where she defeated the likes of qualifier Lucia Bronzetti, Ekaterina Alexandrova, and Elise Mertens in the initial rounds. Sabalenka then defeated seventh seed Zheng Qinwen in the quarterfinals and 13th seed Emma Navarro in the semifinals.
Aryna ultimately clinched her maiden US Open title after defeating sixth seed Jessica Pegula 7-5, 7-5, in the final. This was the Belarusian's second Grand Slam this season, having won the Australian Open in January.
Following her success at the New York Major, Sabalenka began her Asian swing at the 2024 China Open where she reached the quarterfinals, losing to eventual runner-up, Karolina Muchova.

While speaking to PEOPLE magazine in an exclusive ahead of her US Open quarterfinal, Aryna Sabalenka said she was "really happy" having her boyfriend Georgios Frangulis by her side.
Mentioning how Frangulis is always there to support her whenever things don't go her way, the World No. 2 said:
“I am really happy to have him by my side, always cheering me up, always making sure that we are doing some fun stuff. Even when things are going wrong in my career, he is my biggest support and yeah, really happy to have him by my side,” Sabalenka said.
Due to a series of brilliant performances this season, Aryna Sabalenka has earned her a spot in the 2024 WTA Finals. In 2023, the Belarusian had reached the semifinals of the season-ending tournament before falling to the eventual champion, Iga Swiatek 6-3, 6-2.
Other players who also qualified for the singles event at the 2024 WTA Finals are Jasmine Paolini, Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula, Elena Rybakina, Zheng Qinwen, and Barbora Krejcikova.
