Coco Gauff returned to Florida after her victorious WTA Finals campaign in Riyadh. Back home, the American enjoyed an adorable seafood date with her grandmother, sharing glimpses of the outing later.
Gauff enjoyed a standout Asian hard-court swing, clinching the China Open title and reaching the Wuhan Open semifinals. As the World No. 3, she later secured her qualification for the WTA Finals in Riyadh.
The American began her WTA Finals campaign with an impressive straight-set victory over compatriot Jessica Pegula. Gauff then triumphed over Iga Swiatek 6-3, 6-4. While she faced a 7-5, 6-4 defeat to Barbora Krejcikova, Gauff was able to secure a spot in the semifinals.
The 20-year-old secured a 7-6(4), 6-3 victory over top seed Aryna Sabalenka in the semifinals, before downing China's Zheng Qinwen 3-6, 6-4, 7-6(2) in the final, becoming the youngest player since Maria Sharapova (2004) to win the year-end championship.
Coco Gauff recently returned to Florida after an impressive campaign in Riyadh. The American, who frequently shares moments with her family on social media, enjoyed a seafood boil with her grandmother during a cozy outing on Monday, November 12.
Gauff shared a clip from the restaurant on social media, followed by a picture from her house on her Instagram story.
"seafood date with my gma. loll after being overseas and in season all I wanted was a seafood boil and I'm hitting up wing stop tmmrw best believe," she wrote.
After winning the title in Riyadh, Gauff had a touching message for her parents.

In the WTA Finals summit clash, Coco Gauff fought back after losing a break in the second set and facing two break points in the third, with Zheng even serving for the match at 5-4. However, the American surged ahead to claim her ninth career WTA title.
Speaking on court after her triumph, Gauff expressed gratitude to her team and parents for their unwavering support. Notably, her mother accompanied her throughout the campaign in Riyadh.
"I’d like to thank my team. It’s been a long season. I want to say thank you. This week has been so fun. Win or lose, I always have a good time with you guys. Thank you to my parents. My mom is here. My dad is watching at home.. my brother.. my grandparents. Thank you to the man above for allowing me to be here," she said.
By winning the year-end championship, Gauff became the first American since Serena Williams to claim the WTA Finals. The 23-time Major champion won the title in 2014 defeating Simona Halep in the final.
