In Pictures: Daniil Medvedev's wife Daria celebrates daughter Alisa's 2nd birthday with adorable photoshoot as he misses occasion for Six Kings Slam

Daniil Medvedev's daughter Alisa turned two on October 14, with his wife Daria putting together an adorable celebration for the toddler. However, the World No. 5 couldn't be there to celebrate with his family as he gears up for the blockbuster Six Kings Slam exhibition event.

Following his run to the quarterfinals of the Shanghai Masters, Medvedev is set to take part in the Six Kings Slam exhibition, joining Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, and Holger Rune in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Russian will battle it out against Sinner for a place in the semifinals in a much-awaited clash, set to take place on October 16.

Although Daniil Medvedev had to miss his daughter's second birthday, his wife Daria celebrated the milestone in an adorable fashion. While the couple threw an elaborate party to ring in Alisa's first birthday, complete with a fox-themed cake and giant soap bubbles, Daria opted for a simpler affair this year.

The 28-year-old posed in an adorable photoshoot with Alisa, cuddling with the toddler on the beach in Monaco.

"2❤️," Daria captioned her Instagram post.

Daria also shared a glimpse of the festivities, as she lovingly helped Alisa blow out the candles on a beautiful strawberry cake decorated with a cute bunny.

Daniil Medvedev has been open about the challenges of balancing his tennis career with fatherhood, admitting that he didn't get to see his daughter very often. In a Tennis Channel interview earlier this year, the Russian disclosed that he hadn't had much of an opportunity to learn from Alisa in the same way as his wife Daria.

"Let's be honest, when you're a tennis player, you can talk as much as you want about kids, you don't see them that often. You travel around the world so it's more my wife that tries to teach her things and maybe our daughter teaches her patience,"

Medvedev also confessed that Alisa felt his absence, as evidenced by her "concealing" her real personality around him while being more at ease with his wife Daria.

"Me, I'm there less than my wife so I think my daughter feels it. So, with me she is, when we're together, she's not having too much of a character, she's just going by the flow,"
"And I like to make jokes with my wife, 'You told me she was screaming earlier but she's fine.' It is what it is. I try to spend as much time as possible with her and it's a fun time,"

Despite spending limited time together, Daniil Medvedev has shared that his daughter Alisa has inherited many of his character traits, particularly in her refusal of his offers of help and displays of "anger."
