During his interview with Tennis Channel at the 2024 Wimbledon Championships, Denis Shapovalov hilariously confessed that his fiance has been putting in the extra hours to have everything for their wedding.

"I think she's doing much more of it than I am, I think it's going well," the 2021 semifinalist said while talking to Martina Navratilova and Steve Weissman.
"Obviously getting married next year, and we're preparing, we're getting ready, sending the invites and stuff, things are moving along," Shapovalov added.

The former World No. 10, who recently won his second career title at the Belgrade Open, also confirmed that none of his tennis colleagues would be attending the wedding.

"No pros, it’s going to be a very intimate, small thing," he said.

The Canadian hilariously apologized to his compatriot and friend Felix Auger-Aliassime, who himself got engaged to longtime partner Nina Ghaibi recently, for not sending the invite.

"I'm sorry Felix (Auger-Aliassime). No pros are invited, mainly just family and friends from really long time ago," Shapovalov said.

While Shapovalov has confirmed the wedding year, he hasn't shared any other details regarding their upcoming ceremony.
