In Pictures: Jannik Sinner bonds with girlfriend Anna Kalinskaya's brother Nikolay and his 2 children in rare moment during preseason in Dubai
Jannik Sinner recently met up with his girlfriend Anna Kalinskaya’s brother, Nikolay, during his preseason training in Dubai. The World No. 1 also posed for pictures with Kalinskiy and his two children.
Sinner, who resides in Monte-Carlo, has chosen Dubai as his training base before his anticipated 2025 campaign. The Italian enjoyed a historic 2024 season, which saw him clinch his first two Grand Slam titles at the Australian Open and the US Open. In June, he reached the top of the rankings for the first time and has strengthened his hold over the throne since.
Jannik Sinner also won three Masters 1000 titles in Miami, Cincinnati, and Shanghai, and two ATP 500 titles in Rotterdam and Halle. He capped off his campaign by lifting his maiden year-end World No. 1 and ATP Finals trophies and carrying Italy to a second consecutive Davis Cup title.
The Italian then reportedly made a quick and low-key trip to Miami to spend time with his girlfriend Anna Kalinskaya, who celebrated her birthday on December 2. After attending the 2024 SuperTennis Awards in Milan on December 4, Sinner arrived in the UAE, with the Abu Dhabi GP as his first stop.
The player has since been training in Dubai with the likes of Grigor Dimitrov, Karen Khachanov, and Alexandre Muller. Jannik Sinner also recently spent time with his girlfriend Kalinskaya’s brother, Nikolay Kalinskiy, who is in the city with his wife, Valeria, and their two young children.
In the pictures shared by Anna Kalinskaya’s brother on Instagram, he appeared to have gifted the World No. 1 his football jersey. Kalinskiy, a Russian footballer, plays for FC Pari Nizhny Novgorod.
Jannik Sinner gifted girlfriend Anna Kalinskaya's brother Nikolay a signed Steph Curry shirt after winning US Open 2024
Jannik Sinner made his relationship with World No. 14 Anna Kalinskaya public in May 2024. Although the pair have refrained from sharing details of their personal lives, they have often been spotted supporting each other from the stands during the season.
Kalinskaya, who bowed out of the US Open in the third round, also stayed back to cheer her partner on to victory at the tournament. During the fortnight, Sinner met up with basketball icon Steph Curry, who happens to be Kalinskaya’s brother Nikolay’s idol.
As a sweet gesture after the tournament, the World No. 1 gifted Nikolay a Steph Curry-signed shirt.
"THANK YOU FOR THE GIFT @annakalinskaya @janniksin @stephencurry30," Kalinskiy wrote on Instagram.
While Jannik Sinner is set to begin his 2025 journey with his title defense at the Australian Open, Anna Kalinskaya is expected to kick off her run at the Brisbane International.
