In Pictures: Naomi Osaka channels 'Barbie' elegance in pink as Japanese attends the premiere of tennis-centric film 'Julie Keeps Quiet'

Naomi Osaka recently shared a delightful picture of herself in an elegant pink dress, drawing inspiration from the iconic Hollywood fantasy, Barbie. The Japanese star donned the outfit at the tennis feature film Julie Keeps Quiet premiere.

Lower back and abdominal injuries cut Naomi Osaka's 2024 season short. The Japanese star last competed at the WTA 1000 event in Beijing, reaching the fourth round but retiring mid-match against eventual champion Coco Gauff due to a lower back issue.

The 27-year-old later withdrew from important events, including the Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo and the prestigious Billie Jean King Cup.

While away from the court, Osaka has often shared glimpses of her life with fans online. Recently, she posted a picture of her shimmer foundation from Rihanna's brand, Fenty, which had dried and scattered, humorously calling it a "tragedy."

On Wednesday, December 4, Osaka shared several pictures of herself in a stunning pink dress, paired with an elegant wide black coat and matching peep-toe heels. She also posted her picture standing next to the poster of Julie Keeps Quiet at its premiere.

"It's giving Barbie," she wrote in the captions:

With the 2025 season approaching, Naomi Osaka has started hitting the court in preparation for her comeback. The four-time Major champion recently gave fans a look into her off-season training routine on her Instagram story while responding to some of their questions.

Osaka first shared a picture of her hand covered in tennis ball fuzz and told a user that her training was going well.

“Good 😂 I think I'm turning into a tennis ball haha," Osaka answered.

The 27-year-old addressed another fan's question, saying she will try her best to keep fans updated on her training. However, she noted that using a phone during training felt "disrespectful," so she hasn't documented her routine.

“Sorry I'll try my best 😅 I always think it's disrespectful to be on the phone during practice so I rarely get photos/videos. I'll try to ask someone to film something next time 😭 ," Osaka added.

She added another story, featuring her hitting partner, Matias Zukas:

“This man Mati is unpredictable though 😭"

Osaka will likely start her 2025 season at the ASB Classic in Auckland, which begins on December 30, 2024.
