In Pictures: Roger Federer and wife Mirka turn heads as they explore La Galerie Dior during fashionable Paris getaway

Roger Federer and his wife Mirka are enjoying a touch of glamor during their visit to the French capital shortly after the conclusion of the 2024 Paris Fashion Week. The couple recently paid a visit to La Galerie Dior, exploring the museum dedicated to the works of renowned French fashion designer Christian Dior.

Federer has embraced his love for fashion in retirement, from co-chairing the 2023 Met Gala to making a stylish appearance with his wife Mirka at this year's Oscars red carpet and even launching his own signature sneaker with On. The Swiss legend also enjoys a close bond with the editor-in-chief of Vogue, Anna Wintour, who recently joined the 20-time Grand Slam champion at the Laver Cup in Berlin.

Mirka also accompanied Roger Federer to the Laver Cup, and the couple has since jetted off to Paris for a getaway. The former World No. 1 documented their visit to La Galerie Dior on social media.

They took note of an exhibit showcasing historic magazine covers featuring Dior from Vogue, Elle, and Le Figaro, among others. The couple also admired the renowned spiral staircase surrounded by 1,500 miniature Dior dresses, bags, and shoes arranged in a vibrant rainbow display, posing joyfully against the stunning backdrop.

In an interview with GQ Sports earlier this year, Roger Federer credited his wife Mirka for sparking his interest in fashion, disclosing that she inspired him with her "elegance" and passion for cars, watches and fashion.

The Swiss legend also shared that Mirka encouraged him to broaden his horizons by visiting more museums and becoming more outgoing.

"Travels for sure. My wife, Mirka, is three years older and she was always very elegant and always very into cars, watches, and fashion. Those were her hobbies. And she was always very outgoing, visiting places, and I think she inspired me very much to also go to museums, meet people, be more outgoing, be socially stronger," he said.
"Because we started dating when I was 18 years old and we had met at the Sydney Olympics back in 2000. And so I think that’s what got me into the whole fashion world," he added.

The 20-time Grand Slam champion humorously remarked that, as he traveled to new cities with Mirka and achieved more success in his tennis career, he had to eschew his casual attire in favor of donning a suit and tie.

"When you go to all these different cities, I’m sorry, you cannot wear jeans and running sneakers and, I dunno, an oversized T-shirt every single day. And then as I was growing into a more successful tennis player, you were doing this red carpet. So you need a suit and you cannot wear the same tie every time," the Swiss said.

Roger Federer's wife was also instrumental in the design of his iconic 'RF' collection with Nike. The former head of the brand's tennis division, Mike Nakajima, revealed that Mirka worked with them whenever the former World No. 1 wasn't available.
