In Pictures: Serena Williams' glows in bejeweled look as her daughter Olympia and husband Alexis Ohanian turn heads on ESPY 2024 red carpet
Serena Williams was joined by her husband Alexis Ohanian and daughter Olympia at the ESPY 2024. The family wore coordinated outfits as Williams later took the stage to host the event.
The 32nd edition of the ESPY Awards (short for Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Awards) was held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on Thursday, July 11. Williams took to Instagram to share pictures of her red carpet look for the event. In one of the snaps, she can be seen wearing a black gown by Armani Prive with bejeweled straps.
The gown had a train, part of which had a bejeweled border, beautifully balancing the outfit. The former World No. 1 accessorized her look with diamond jewelry and a gold watch.
"It's almost showtime," Williams captioned her post on Instagram ahead of the 2024 ESPY Awards.
Serena also shared a picture of Ohanian in a black Gucci suit. He paired the monochrome suit with turquoise Nike sneakers. The couple lovingly held their daughter Olympia's hands, who could be seen smiling in her white Dolce and Gabbana frock in the picture.
The Reddit co-founder, Alexis Ohanian, also shared a family picture from the red carpet with a special shout-out to their 11-month-old daughter Adira.
Venus Williams also attended the award ceremony and took to the stage alongside actress and comedienne Quinta Brunson.
Serena Williams' legendary career showcased in docuseries
Serena Williams hosted the ESPYs a day after the premiere of her docuseries "In the Arena: Serena Williams" on ESPN.
The 8-part docuseries will take an in-depth look at the milestones in the 4-time Olympic gold medalist's illustrious career with a personal account of behind-the-scenes by the tennis legend herself.
In an interview with ABC NEWS, Williams spoke of what viewers can expect to see in the docuseries.
"It is a really intimate look on a few of the championships that I won, because we couldn't do all of them. Cause what everyone saw for so many years is they just saw me winning or me holding up a trophy or me angry or me doing things that may or may not have been crazy. So, I feel like, what was behind those moments?" she said [at 0:52]
Each episode is expected to highlight pivotal moments in the tennis legend's life with its triumphs and challenges.
