In Pictures: Sloane Stephens oozes confidence in brand new photoshoot for Vogue; Jessica Pegula stars too

American WTA stars Sloane Stephens and Jessica Pegula starred in a recent photoshoot and interview with Vogue. The photoshoot captured them sporting their favorite pieces of on-court jewelry and accessories. In the interview, they briefly opened up on what drives them to wear the jewelry they do on the tennis court.

Stephens and Pegula's WTA colleagues Coco Gauff and Naomi Osaka were also part of the feature. Sebastian Korda and Andrey Rublev featured as well, as the two ATP stars laid bare their respective on-court jewelry preferences.

Stephens, the 2017 US Open champion, took to social media to share her photo from the Vogue photoshoot. In the photo, Stephens wore an orange jacket and accessorized her look with an orange headband, a choker, and a watch. She captioned her Instagram post:

"Look at the material"

Pegula, when asked by Vogue about her thoughts on the ideal way to step out on the court wearing jewelry, advised:

"A little layering, a little ear stack, multiple bracelets."

Stephens revealed in the interview that she prefers to wear subtle pieces of jewelry due to the risk of sunscreen rubbing off on bigger pieces.

"When I play, I love to wear a diamond choker-something cute that stands out, but that is also subtle," Stephens said.

Stephens suffered early exits in both women's singles and doubles categories at the recently-concluded French Open. In singles, she bowed out of the claycourt Major in the first round following an embarrassing 1-6, 2-6 loss to Yulia Putintseva.

Similarly, her collaboration with compatriot Ashlyn Krueger in doubles was dispatched comfortably by No. 6 seeds Jelena Ostapenko and Lyudmyla Kichenok in the opening round.

Meanwhile, Pegula could not take part in the French Open due to lack of match fitness. However, she had promised that she would be back in time for the start of the grasscourt season, and has lived up to her word.

Pegula has returned to action at the Rosmalen Grass Court Championships, where she is the No. 1 seed. She made short work of her opponent Aliaksandra Sasnovich in her opening encounter at the WTA 250 event and is set to face Aleksandra Krunic next, in the Round of 16.

Pegula is also playing doubles at the tournament, having paired up with Demi Schuurs. The No. 1 seeded pair is slated to start their doubles campaign against Anna Siskova and Miriam Kolodziejova.
