Inquiries into relationship with Jannik Sinner declared off the table in girlfriend Anna Kalinskaya's new interview

Jannik Sinner’s girlfriend, Anna Kalinskaya, recently refused to entertain any questions about their relationship. The latter’s decision comes amid rising speculation about the couple’s possible separation.

Sinner and Kalinskaya made their relationship public earlier this year, with the World No. 1 confirming the rumors during his press conference at the French Open. Ever since, Jannik Sinner has shown his love and support by attending his girlfriend’s matches, and vice versa.

Anna Kalinskaya was also present at her partner’s 2024 US Open final match, where he won his second Grand Slam. The tennis couple famously shared a sweet kiss, celebrating his victory.

Although the players haven’t shied away from showing their affection publicly, they have actively denied answering questions about their dating life.

"I'm with Anna, yes, but we keep everything very confidential, you know my confidentiality... I won't say more," Sinner said after confirming his relationship at the French Open.

More recently, Anna Kalinskaya, the cover star for Harper’s Bazaar, Australia’s January 2025 issue, declined to entertain any questions about her life with the World No. 1. The magazine recently published an interview with the World No. 14. One of the excerpts read:

"In the middle of 2024, she began dating year-end world No. 1 Jannik Sinner. At time of writing, the status of that relationship was unclear. Crystal clear, on the other hand, was the pre-interview instruction to BAZAAR not to raise the topic."

The player’s refusal comes amid speculation that she and Sinner have called time on their relationship. The two were last spotted together publicly at the China Open in October, where they both competed.

Their dating life has been put under the microscope in recent times, with fans keeping close tabs on their social media activity. Sinner, who has been dealing with online harassment in light of his doping test ordeal, was called out for his vague remarks on his girlfriend in an interview from October. Similarly, Kalinskaya landed in hot water after reportedly liking a controversial post about her partner.

In December, though, it was reported that the two-time Grand Slam champion made a quick trip to Miami to celebrate Anna Kalinskaya’s birthday. The couple appeared to keep the reunion private considering the rising interest in their personal lives.

Although Jannik Sinner generally declines to share details about his and Anna Kalinskaya’s life, the World No. 1 made a rare exception during his October interview in Beijing with CCTV5. Speaking about their bond, he said:

"As tennis players we are, you know, different. I am different also to other tennis players. But for sure I always try to support her. She also tries to support me, giving some positive energy," the 23-year-old said.

Sinner also famously addressed his girlfriend’s Berlin final loss, having won his first grasscourt title in Halle just minutes later. Despite the player limiting his social media activity, he has been acknowledging Kalinskaya’s updates on social media.

While Jannik Sinner has been training for the 2025 season in Dubai, Anna Kalinskaya has kicked off her preparations in Miami. The former is expected to skip any official tournaments before his Australian Open title defense. His partner, meanwhile, will begin her journey at the 2025 Brisbane International.
