Many tennis fans jokingly suggested that Jannik Sinner withdrew from the 2024 Paris Masters after being appalled by the quality of food that is being served at the event. The Italian had to pull out of the final ATP Masters 1000 tournament of the season, citing a viral infection.

Sinner has had an exceptional season so far this year, clinching seven titles . He kicked off the year by securing his first Grand Slam title at the 2024 Australian Open, where he defeated Daniil Medvedev in the final. He then went on to win the ABN AMRO Open, Miami Open, Halle Open, Cincinnati Open, US Open, and most recently, the Shanghai Masters.

Following the Asian swing, Jannik Sinner, who made his Paris Masters debut in 2021, was scheduled to make his fourth appearance in the tournament this year. However, he announced his withdrawal from the tournament due to illness owing to a virus.

Meanwhile, Australian tennis player Max Purcell, who will be competing in the doubles event at the Paris Masters alongside Jordan Thompson, took to social media to share a photo of the unappetizing food, specifically some burger patties served to players at the tournament.

One fan expressed that the food quality "disgusted" them, while another playfully suggested that Jannik Sinner got "sick" after witnessing the unappetizing meals served at the Paris Masters.

"I... am disgusted," a fan wrote.

Another fan humorously remarked that the food resembled "leftovers" from the 2024 Paris Olympics.

"It's probably the leftovers found in the Olympic village," a fan wrote.

Many fans jokingly speculated that Jannik Sinner's withdrawal from the tournament was due to the food quality rather than the virus.

Jannik Sinner will next compete at ATP Finals 2024

Following his withdrawal from the 2024 Paris Masters, Jannik Sinner will next compete at the ATP Finals. This will mark Sinner's third appearance at the season-ending tournament.

Till now, Sinner alongside Carlos Alcaraz, Alexander Zverev, Daniil Medvedev and Taylor Fritz have qualified for this year's singles event at the ATP Finals. The tournament is set to take place at the Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy, starting from November 10 and going on till November 17, 2024.

At the 2023 ATP Finals, Jannik Sinner had defeated Stefanos Tsitsiaps, Novak Djokovic and Holger Rune in the group stages. He then went on to secure a victory against Daniil Medvedev in the semifinals but fell short of clinching the title after losing to Djokovic in the final.
