Italian model Melissa Satta reacts to Matteo Berrettini's heartfelt message for younger brother Jacopo Berrettini

Italian model and TV presenter Melissa Satta was touched by Matteo Berrettini's post for younger brother Jacopo, who had a career-best week at the Mexican Open in Acapulco. Berrettini expressed great pride in his sibling for winning his first ATP main-draw match this past week.

24-year-old Jacopo Berrettini made his ATP main-draw debut after coming through qualifying at the Mexican Open and went on to beat Oscar Otte on debut to make it to the Round of 16.

Former World No. 6 Matteo Berrettini was happy to have himself back on tour for the first time since the Australian Open, but was more thrilled for his brother.

"Great to be back competing. But yesterday was all about this guy. Extremely proud of my little bro for getting his first win on the @atptour . Many more to come," Berrettini wrote on Instagram after Jacopo's 3-6, 7-6(3), 2-1(ret.) win over Otte.

During world No. 842 Jacopo's Round of 32 match, Matteo himself was in the stands, looking nervous and excited in equal measure while watching his brother compete.

The 2021 Wimbledon finalist suffered an unfortunate end to his Mexican Open campaign, retiring from his quarter-final against Holger Rune after going down 0-6, 0-1. Meanwhile, Jacopo's campaign ended in the Round of 16 with a 0-6, 1-6 defeat to eighth seed Alex de Minaur.

Jacopo also reacted to Matteo Berrettini's social media post, calling his brother a 'role model.' The Italian youngster thanked his sibling for his kind words and congratulatory message.

"My role model, since always. Thank you," Jacopo Berrettini wrote on Matteo's Instagram post.

Earlier, he also referred to his sibling as the most important person in his life, thanking him for inspiring him to take up tennis and helping him grow as a player. Jacopo was granted a singles wild card for the qualifying draw at the Mexican Open.

"Without him [none of this] would be possible" Jacopo Berrettini told ATPTour.com. "Not just for the [qualifying] wild card but for everything. He is my inspiration, he's really a true champion and really a very good person."
"For me he's the most important person in my life. I really want to say thanks to him. It's really nice to have him here and in general in my life," he added.

Meanwhile, Matteo has had a topsy-turvy start to his season. The world No. 24 lost a first-round thriller against Andy Murray at the Australian Open in five sets after having a match-point. He looked in good touch at the Mexican Open with two comfortable wins against Alex Molcan and Elias Ymer before the loss to Rune.
