J.J. Wolf sent out a sweet message to his mother after his victory over Alexander Bublik to begin his campaign at the 2023 Miami Open.

With his win, Wolf has already bettered his results from the recently concluded Indian Wells Masters, where he was ousted from the tournament by Marton Fucsovics in the first round. Wolf dominated the first set 6-1 before Fucsovics mounted a strong comeback to secure the second set with a bagel. The Hungarian eventually went on to win the match 1-6, 6-0, 6-3.

At the ongoing Miami Open, Wolf faced Alexander Bublik in the first round. The pair exchanged multiple breaks in the first set before the American managed to break Bublik's serve at 6-5 to take the opening set. The second set was a more straightforward encounter as Wolf captured an early break and held onto his lead to close out the match 7-5, 6-3.

Following his win, Wolf made a touching gesture as he signed a message on the camera.

"Hi Mama," Wolf wrote on the camera.
