Jannik Sinner drops major Nike merch hint; flaunts custom hat, shoes, jacket featuring his logo and honoring his World No.1 ranking at ATP Finals
World No. 1 Jannik Sinner was spotted hitting the courts in Turin in anticipation of the high-profile ATP Finals starting next week. The Italian was seen in unique Nike gear while practicing.
Sinner wore Nike apparel with his signature "Fox" logo on his hat and his name imprinted on his Nike shoes. The player had "001" imprinted on his custom-made Nike jacket, which he adorned during his practice sessions. The "001" was to symbolize the Italian's ranking in 2024, as he finished the ATP calendar as the top-ranked male player for the first time in his career.
Previously, during the Shanghai Masters, the World No. 1 wore customized T-shirts from Nike, which had the printed "fox" logo in front of them. The T-shirts also had "Sha 001" and the word "ACE" engraved on them to give a more unique nature to the product in terms of the Italian player. Fans welcomed this move from Nike as they opined that it was the suitable merchandise that encapsulated the personality of the player.
Sinner has been nicknamed "the Fox" since his childhood days, and the Italian has carried that nickname into his playing days on the ATP Tour as well. The World No. 1 has its own "Fox" logo that incorporates his personality with his game.
Jannik Sinner will receive the year-end No. 1 trophy at the ATP Finals in Turin
Jannik Sinner is all set to start his campaign at the annual ATP Finals in his home country of Italy, Turin. This is the third time that the Italian player has qualified for the year-end championships, but for the first time, he is entering this event as the year-end World No. 1. He will receive the year-end No. 1 trophy in Turin.
Sinner enters the event in Turin after an incredible season, which saw the Italian win 65 of the 71 matches he has played and win 7 titles, including two Major titles at the Australian Open and the US Open. He has been in tearaway form on the hard courts, as he has lost only three matches on the surface, and six of his seven titles have come on the hard courts. Out of his six losses, however, three have come at the hands of his immediate competitor, Carlos Alcaraz.
The 2023 ATP Finals is where Sinner began his amazing run last year. The Italian secured his first win against Novak Djokovic in the round-robin game and duly reached the final of the event. However, in the summit clash, it was Djokovic who prevailed, winning 3-6, 3-6.
