Jannik Sinner's girlfriend, tennis player Anna Kalinskaya, gushes over Katie Boulter and boyfriend Alex de Minaur as couple win titles hours apart
Jannik Sinner’s girlfriend, Anna Kalinskaya, was delighted by the success of another tennis couple, Katie Boulter and boyfriend Alex de Minaur, as the duo clinched singles titles just hours apart.
Boulter, who was the defending champion in Nottingham, beat 2016 champion Karolina Pliskova 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 in the final on Sunday, June 16, to extend her unbeaten record. En route to her third career title, she also beat the likes of compatriots Emma Raducanu and Harriet Dart, as well as Magdalena French and Rebecca Marino.
It is worth noting that just hours before her triumph, Boulter’s boyfriend, Alex de Minaur, emerged victorious at the Libema Open in 's-Hertogenbosch. The Aussie tennis player, who has now assumed a new career-high ranking of World No. 7, won his ninth career title by beating Sebastian Korda 6-2, 6-4 in the final. In the previous rounds, de Minaur outclassed Zizou Berges, Milos Raonic, and Ugo Humbert.
Interestingly, this is the second time this season that Alex de Minaur and Katie Boulter have won the title in the same week. In March, de Minaur defended his ATP 500 title in Acapulco, while Boulter simultaneously clinched her maiden 500-level title in San Diego.
Jannik Sinner’s girlfriend, Anna Kalinskaya, is a supporter of the two and is always elated to see tennis couples perform well. She was delighted by their latest achievement.
"This makes me happy for both of you guys. Congrats and see you soon @katieboulter @alexdeminaur," she wrote on her Instagram story, sharing a post captioned "Couple Goals."
"Yesssssss my two favorites. Let’s gooooo," she wrote in the comments under another post.
Jannik Sinner and Anna Kalinskaya to begin grasscourt season in Germany; Alex de Minaur and Katie Boulter to continue campaigns in the UK
With Katie Boulter and Alex de Minaur commencing their 2024 grasscourt runs spectacularly, Jannik Sinner and Anna Kalinskaya, too, would hope to make strides as they chase their maiden titles on the surface this week in Germany.
Sinner, the newly-crowned World No. 1, begins his journey at the ATP 500 in Halle against Tallon Griekspoor, whereas World No. 24 Kalinskaya starts her campaign at the WTA 500 in Berlin against Nao Hibino.
Meanwhile, Katie Boulter will continue to enjoy her home crowd’s support as she takes on Anna Kalinina at the Birmingham Classic. Alex de Minaur, too, will compete in the UK after his success in the Netherlands. The Aussie, who was the runner-up at the Queen’s Club Championships last year, will commence his run against Lorenzo Musetti at this year’s event.
