Japan Open 2024 Schedule: TV schedule, start time, order of play, live stream details & more | Day 6
The Japan Open will enter its business end with spots in the singles finals up for grabs on Sunday. While a lot of the top seeds, including Taylor Fritz and Frances Tiafoe have fallen by the wayside, there are plenty of big names that will be in action.
The opening match on the central showcourt will be a men's doubles encounter but the singles semifinals will follow in the evening session.
The first semifinal will have an in-form Tomas Machac take on the big-serving Ugo Humbert for a spot in the summit clash. While Humbert has won an ATP 500 title in the past, his opponent has never even made it to the final at this level.
The second encounter will see sixth seed Holger Rune try his luck against either eighth seed, Ben Shelton, or Arthur Fils. The latter are yet to finish their quarterfinal contest. Rune, meanwhile, ended home hopes by taking out Japan's former top-10 player Kei Nishikori in his last-eight encounter on Sunday.
