Japan Open 2024 Schedule: TV schedule, start time, order of play, live stream details & more | Day 7

The field at the Japan Open has been filtered down to the final two. Arthur Fils and Ugo Humbert will compete for spoils in the summit clash on Tuesday.

Humbert was the first to book his spot in the final, coming through a topsy-turvy win over Tomas Machac. He had started well but his opponent raised his level to take the semifinal encounter into a decider. In the end, the Frenchman broke his opponent twice in the final set to take the match 6-3, 3-6, 6-2.

The big-hitting Frenchman had earlier in the week scored big wins over the likes of Jack Draper and Brandon Nakashima as well.

Fils, meanwhile, has picked up a few big scalps himself. After ousting the top seed Taylor Fritz in the opening round, he moved ahead after Matteo Berrettini was forced to retire mid-match in the second.

The youngster beat two more seeds in the form of defending champ Ben Shelton and Holger Rune to book his spot in the final. His win over the American was particularly impressive as he two battled hard for three sets before coming through 7-5, 6-7(5), 7-6(2).

The men’s doubles final will see Julian Cash-Lloyd Glasspool lock horns with Ariel Behar-Robert Galloway.

With the two big matches lined up, take a look at the court schedule for Day 7 of the 2024 Japan Open.
