Siniakova and Machac have been in a relationship since 2020. Surprisingly, the Czech couple announced their breakup before the Olympics began. It raised questions about their impending participation at the Games in the mixed doubles event. However, Siniakova had assured fans that as professionals they would fulfill their commitment.
The Czech duo reached the gold medal match without dropping a set. On August 3, they faced China's Zhizhen Zhang and Wang Xinyu in the final. The battle for gold went into the match tie-breaker and the Czech pair came out on top 6-2, 5-7(8). Soon after confirming the gold, they shared a kiss.
Fans believe Siniakova and Machac's story deserves a movie. Their demands reached the TODAY show where a headline recently read:

Siniakova has been on a roll in the doubles event this season. She reached the women's doubles semifinal of the Australian Open partnering Australia's Storm Hunter before going all the way at the French Open and the Wimbledon Championships.

Katerina Siniakova and Tomas Machac's kiss on the court prompted a reporter to ask the burning question during a press conference:
"Are you still together?”
The pair refused to open up on their relationship status. Siniakova chose to not share anything about their personal life while Machac called it a secret.
“That’s our personal life, so you don’t need to know that... We like when you are confused,” Siniakova said.
“This is top secret,” Machac added.
Siniakova won the Claycourt Slam with Coco Gauff and the Grasscourt Slam with Taylor Townsend this year. Moreover, with her Paris Olympic gold, she has added to the women's doubles gold medal she won in Tokyo partnering Barbora Krejčíková. Meanwhile, it was the first Olympic medal for Machac.
