Laver Cup 2024 prize money: How much did Carlos Alcaraz, Ben Shelton, Frances Tiafoe, Taylor Fritz & others earn for their three-day stint in Berlin?
Team Europe claimed the 2024 Laver Cup, capturing their fifth title overall and their first since 2021. Debutant Carlos Alcaraz, along with Alexander Zverev and Casper Ruud, rallied back on the final day to seal a 13-11 victory.
The seventh edition of the Roger Federer backed international team competition did not disappoint from start to finish. Featuring a mouth-watering lineup on both sides, fans were treated to frenetic action across the weekend.
Honors were split on day one, with both teams winning two matches each. Team World surged ahead on the second day, winning three out of four rubbers, including a dominant doubles rout along with a couple of shocks in the singles.
The final day saw Team Europe kick proceedings off with a surprising victory by Alcaraz and Ruud in the doubles match. Team World quickly responded with a brilliant performance in the subsequent singles courtesy Shelton. A monumental fightback from Zverev in the third rubber saw them head into the final encounter between Alcaraz and Fritz.
A dominant performance from the four-time Grand Slam champion Alcaraz in the final match saw him seal the win and help his team lift the crown in his maiden Laver Cup. It was also the first time the Europeans lifted the crown without either of the Big 4.
Team Europe's triumph will see them pocket a lofty sum of $2,250,000, with each member receiving $250,000 for their contributions. This amount remains unchanged from the previous edition.
Team World, the runners-up, will receive $1,125,000 in total, with each member getting $125,000.
