Laver Cup 2024 tickets: Where and when to buy, prices and more
The Laver Cup 2024 is almost ready to get underway. The star-studded edition will take place from September 20-22, in Berlin, Germany. With players such as Carlos Alcaraz, Ben Shelton, and Frances Tiafoe in the mix, it's set to be a high-octane affair.
The prices for this year's edition have been set, and one can purchase tickets through the official tournament site. Single-session tickets start from €63 and go up to €6,952. Multi-session ticket packages are available from €126 and go as high as €21,900. Full tournament ticket packages begin from €293 and go up to €3,374.
The Laver Cup's format remains the same this year as players from Team Europe will go toe-to-toe with their rivals from Team World. The European contingent will feature Alcaraz, Grigor Dimitrov, Daniil Medvedev, Casper Ruud, Alexander Zverev, and Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Team World will be led by the American trio of Shelton, Tiafoe, and Taylor Fritz, with Francisco Cerundolo, Thanasi Kokkinakis, and Alejandro Tabilo joining them. They're the two-time defending champions, having come up short in all the previous editions.
While the line-up is quite stacked, the tournament suffered a huge blow after 22-time Major champion Rafael Nadal bowed out. The Spaniard was marketed as the star-headliner and decided to pull out of the event last week.
Rafael Nadal continues his sabbatical with his decision to skip the Laver Cup
Rafael Nadal's presence was one of the key selling points of this year's Laver Cup. With this being his potential final season, fans were eager to see the legend in action. The ticket prices were set accordingly. However, the Spaniard's decision to withdraw disappointed his die-hard fans.
Nadal hasn't competed since his Paris Olympics campaign came to an end. He pulled out of the US Open and said he would return to the tour at the Laver Cup. He has now extended his break from tennis once again.
The Spaniard's comeback this year hasn't gone according to plan. While there were moments of brilliance, he also took some tough losses. The most notable was a first-round exit from the French Open, a tournament he has won 14 times in his career.
Nadal hasn't confirmed what's next for him after his Laver Cup withdrawal. With Spain advancing to the knockout stage of the Davis Cup Finals, the 38-year-old could play for his country one last time.
The tournament will be held in Malaga, Spain, from November 19-24, and Nadal could be a part of the squad. If he is to call it a day, then playing in front of his home crowd would be the perfect send-off for him.
